2017 Best Employers in Ohio list is made up of 34 companies
MARCH 2017   -   Cincinnati/Dayton, OH
Mike's Carwash was recently named as one of the 2017 Best Employers in Ohio. The annual list of the Best Employers in Ohio was created by the Ohio SHRM State Council and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Ohio, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses. The 2017 Best Employers of Ohio list is made up of 34 companies.

"We are thrilled to have been recognized as one of the Best Employers in Ohio for the fourth year in a row," says Greg Ries, executive vice president of Mike's Carwash. "Each year that we receive this honorable award, it reassures us that we are continuing to hold true to the Mike's tradition of creating a positive, fun and friendly work environment. We attribute our year after year success to our dedicated and talented team members, as we know that they are the most integral part of our business."

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Employers of Ohio. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings.

Mike's Carwash donates $17.3K to the Marvin Lewis Community Fund
JANUARY 2017   -   Cincinnati, OH
Mike's Carwash donated a check for $17,318.32 to the Marvin Lewis Community Fund after the final Bengals game of the season against the Baltimore Ravens at Paul Brown Stadium.

The donation was the result of all proceeds from Mike's "2 Sacks to Save" promotion during the Bengals 2016/2017 season. Mike's pledged to donate $1 to the Marvin Lewis Community Fund for each Ultimate Wash purchased the day after the Bengals recorded 2 or more sacks in a game. The Bengals recorded 2+ sacks in nine out of the 16 games played this season.

"Thank you to Mike's Carwash for the generous donation to the Marvin Lewis Community Fund," Said Bengals Head Coach, Marvin Lewis. "MLCF could not make the impact it has in the community without our partners who help us continue our work throughout the year."

The Marvin Lewis Community Fund's mission is to empower youth education throughout Greater Cincinnati. What began as a small organization in 2005, has grown into a non-profit that gives back through its own core outreach programs and community initiatives.

"We were absolutely thrilled to partner with the Cincinnati Bengals this year and to become the official carwash of the team," says Greg Ries, executive president of Mike's Carwash. "The cherry on top of all the excitement was then partnering with the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. Giving back to the community is a huge part of the Mike's culture and thanks to the Bengals Defense activating our promotion nine times throughout the season, we were able to make a significant donation to such an amazing organization."

"The donation from Mike's Carwash helps to make a real difference for the young people in our area," says Barbara Dundee, executive director of the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. "We appreciate their support that will help us touch the lives of students in this community that we all care about."
